Almost all of the major Republican presidential candidates were in the Granite State on Friday. Ron DeSantis told the crowd Israel has the right to defend itself.“If Hamas and Hezbollah were to lay down their arms, you'd have peace tomorrow,” DeSantis said. “If Israel were to do so, you would see the annihilation of the Jewish state.”Former U.N. ambassador Nikki Haley said Hamas must be destroyed.“I know you saw it, but did you hear it? Did you hear what they were saying when they were dragging those bodies down the street? They were saying, ‘Death to Israel, death to America,’” Haley said. Biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy said the U.S. needs to approach the situation with level-headed rationality.“We have to stand for Israel’s right to defend its borders while making sure we avoid World War III that wouldn’t advance American interests,” Ramaswamy said.
